Students need to know how much we care before they care about how much we know. This training delves into the importance of teachers creating safe and caring relationships within the classrooms and with their students. We provide tangible methods for teachers to affirm, develop trust, and build relationships with their students, along with an overview of the power of caring relationships in classrooms and schools. These methods set the foundation for care and respect in the classroom, which in turn leads to student success and better classroom management.
Professional Learning Community (PLC) Version: This version allows for professional development to take place anytime throughout the school year, not just the beginning of the year. We will come to your campus and provide a condensed version of our training in 45-minute increments to each grade level throughout one school day.
Half-Day Version: Our half-day training incorporates more methods for teachers to learn than our one-hour, 90-minute, or PLC version of this training. It also allows teachers more time to practice these methods to gain a better understanding of how to apply them in their own classrooms.
After working with new teachers and different new teacher programs that are currently on the market, we realized new teachers need something that is going to take away their anxiety and leave them feeling prepared and motivated to tackle their first year. This training focuses on teaching new teachers methods that they can implement in their classroom ASAP, without making them feel overwhelmed.
Our one-day training gives new teachers tangible, research-based methods for building relationships, classroom management, and organization. Our two-day training incorporates our one-day training topics, as well as cooperative learning strategies, parent-teacher communication, and ways to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
Classroom management is one of the most important aspects of teaching. Before lessons can be taught, routines and procedures need to be in place to maintain a structured and safe learning environment. Our methods will enable teachers to create explicit routines and procedures for their classrooms, ensuring students know what to expect when they step into the classroom. This training takes the guesswork out of classroom management, which is especially beneficial for new teachers or teachers coming from alternate certification programs. Our training provides teachers with straightforward classroom management methods that are easy to use and applicable to any grade level.
